Caring for your Bunny
Rabbits can be a family-friendly pet if they are given the proper care. However, there are many different factors that you need to take into account before you purchase your fuzzy friend.
Feeding a Rabbit
Rabbits are animals, and they will require a certain amount of responsibility in order to keep them healthy and happy. If you are considering a rabbit as a pet, you need to take time to look into the diet that the rabbit is going to require. Rabbits are herbivores, so they only eat vegetables on a daily basis. There are many different rabbit pellets that you can use as your rabbit’s main source of nutrition. You should also try to supplement your pet’s diet with some fresh fruits and vegetables.
Housing a Rabbit
The next factor that you should consider is the type of housing that you put the rabbit in. Most people choose to buy a cage that the rabbit can spend a lot of its time in. When choose a cage, you need to have one that provides enough room for the rabbit to move around. This means that the cage needs to be at a minimum of 3 times the size of the rabbit. Any smaller of a cage, and the rabbit won’t have any room to move or be active. If you can’t afford a cage this large, you should consider a smaller pet other than a rabbit.
There are many other factors that can help to contribute to a healthy and happy lifestyle for a bunny. You need to make sure you are aware of all these responsibilities before you purchase a bunny for your family.
